How do I obtain an invitation code?
Invitations are only provided by existing Blue Chip Expert members. Obtaining an invitation is best achieved by locating an existing Blue Chip Expert member within your own professional and social networks.

How does Blue Chip Expert work?
Blue Chip Expert is a site for hiring managers to find highly qualified professionals. We take the best of the web to bring an efficient model to traditional recruiting.

There are three types of roles for membership:

Professional seeking work
hiring manager (In–house recruiter)
Networker - not going to hire or work but knows both professionals and hiring managers

Blue Chip Expert takes a different approach than most recruiting companies. We pay you referral fees for people that are placed or hire within your network. Similar to LinkedIn but with added benefit of earning referral fees when someone hires from your network.

The reason you received an email from one of your contacts is that they would like you to be part of their network. We recommend that members look at their own personal network of contacts and invite those that they think would be interested in Blue Chip Expert. Your invitation was sent by someone who personally knows you and has your contact information. We do not have it in our system and will not until you register.

If you’re concerned about keeping your private information private, so are we. You remain in complete control of who sees and doesn’t see your contact details. Interested hiring managers only see a preview of your profile, not your name or contact information. Once a hiring manager expresses interest in your profile, a Blue Chip recruiter will contact you to confirm you are interested in the position and that we can forward your contact information to the hiring manager. The same process is in place for any contacts in your network.

Most importantly we are not a job board site, but more of a 'people board' site. Hiring managers use our patent pending search engine to find profiles of candidates that meet the job spec. Once they have created a short list we tap our vast network of candidates to pull in candidates that are interested and available. We call this Activated Social Networking (ASN).

How does the referral fee work?
Blue Chip allows Professionals to earn two powerful income streams by connecting qualified colleagues and employers to the Blue Chip Service. This unique program rewards people for the value created by their referrals. Unlike one-time commission payments, Blue Chip provides exponential recurring income. Blue Chip Expert’s referral fee program provides incentives in the form of referral fees for members to invite Networkers, Hiring Managers with assignment or employment opportunities, and Professionals who are seeking to fill those opportunities, to participate in the Blue Chip Expert Services. All members, including Professionals, Networkers and Hiring Managers, are eligible to participate in the program.

The referral fees are based on hiring or working through Blue Chip Expert. When a professional is placed the hiring company is charge a placement fee. For each placement Blue Chip Expert will pay up to twenty–eight (28%) of the eligible fees paid to Blue Chip Expert in connection with the placement. Fourteen (14%) to the Hiring Manager referral chain and fourteen (14%) percent to the Professional's referral chain.

Referral Process

The referral fees for the Member (Level 1) that invited the Professional or Hiring Manager involved in the employment is eight (8%) percent of the eligible fees.
The referral fees for the Member (Level 2) that invited the Level 1 Member and whose referral fee network such Level 1 Member joined is four (4%) percent of the eligible fees.
The referral fees for the Member (Level 3) that invited the Level 2 Member and whose referral fee network such Level 2 Member joined is two (2%) percent of the eligible fees.

I am at times a hiring manager, and at times a consultant. How can I register for both roles?
The current system, only a single role selection is supported; we suggest simply selecting the role of professional. You will be alerted of potential job opportunites and will be able to search our system for candidates. In the next release of our application, we will provide support for multiple roles.

How can I view when and whom I invited, and whether they have responded to my invitation or not?
Simply log in to Blue Chip Expert and click on the “My Account” tab then the “My Invitations” in the navigation panel. You will see the invitations summary box that displays the number of invitations you have sent and your invitation activity for the past 30 days. Below the Invitation Summary is the Invitation Tracking dashboard. Here you can quickly sort, resend invitations or reminders or delete invitations from your list.

Click on any of the header columns to sort your list. For example, if you click on First Name, the list will be ordered alphabetically from A to Z. If you click on First Name again the list will be ordered from Z to A.

The "My Account" menu tab will bring up an initial page that shows the total number of people that have registered in your network down through three levels. You can see more information by selecting "My Network" under the "My Account" menu tab. You will see a breakdown of the network by role and level. Additionally, you will see a list of those people that were invited with your personal invitation code and have registered themselves as part of your network. The Level 2 and Level 3 registrants are not identified by name as they registered at the invitation of someone other than you.

Are there any fees associated with Blue Chip Expert?
Its free to search and free to view applicant profiles, you only pay for the contact details and resumes of the applicants you want to meet. It cost 1 credit for 1 papplicant's contact information and resume. Credits typically range from $10 - $15. Please see our Pricing page and Pay Per Applicant FAQ page for more information.

I cannot find where to begin searching for experts?
If you are a registered hiring manager simply click on one of the Get Started links from the home page. If you are registered as a networker or professional you can search by clicking the “Hire” menu tab then selecting “Search” from the sub menu.

How do I search?

When searching we ask you to select 2–3 target profiles that have the skills and experience you would like to hire. We then ‘activate’ our targeted networks by sharing your requirements with members that fit your target profiles.
